Some time ago we talked here about our Internet presence, and more specifically about Social Media. In order to be closer to you we decided to create this blog (as well as other one in Spanish) and the Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles. In Twitter we had a warm reception and we are now engaged in a really interesting dialog about sustainable architecture; and the blogs receive dozens of visitors each day.

That’s why, today, we continue moving forward this way and fostering Onyx Solar 2.0 presenting our own YouTube channel. And we do it just a few days after Google’s last post about the possibilities this platform offers to companies trying to engage customers. We firmly believe it’s an excellent way to communicate with you, and thus we have prepared our first video about the sector we are working in. We hope you comment and share it, but above all, we hope you enjoy it!

A few weeks ago, at Onyx Solar HQ we were thinking about ways to engage our potential customers and get closer to them. The webpage is fine: it’s a good way for people to know what we do in general, but does not give the possibility of interacting. Knowing what our customers think is one of the most important thing for us, and we were looking forward to finding a way to update them with our latest projects, products and attendance to some trade shows.

That’s why we decided that having a presence on social networks was important in order to achieve it, and as a member of the Communication and Marketing Department I was in charge of get the project up and running. I was really excited because I was aware I was doing something important for the company and our customers, but also for stakeholders in general. I took the responsability without knowing very well where would all of this lead us to.

The first thing I did was to create a Twitter account, the “oldest” of our networks. Later on came this blog, and today we complete the first stage of the project by launching our own page in Facebook and LinkedIn. All those tools do not belong to us; they are only another channel to get in touch with our customers so they can get a full insight on our company, getting to know the Onyx team and the projects we are working on.

And as all this channels are yours, you don’t have to ask for permission nor we have to welcome you. Since the very beginning we have enabled the comments option for all the pages so you can leave us suggestions, critics or whatever you think may be of our common interest. Now it’s up to you wether you want to take advantage of them or not. We have the commitment of updating all of them often, publishing interesting news and answering all of your questions as soon as possible.

From now on, we expect you visit us frequently, and of course, we hope you enjoy the ride!
