ONYX SOLAR WORKS ON A DURABLE SELF-CLEAN COATING TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY OF PV GLASS

EverClean is a transparent, durable, cost-effective and permanent self-cleaning solution for photovoltaic glass.

Onyx Solar attended in May the kick-off meeting of this European R&D project. The company will work on the development of EverClean technology during the next two years of this Fast Track to Innovation project, together with the partners London South Bank University (U.K), as project coordinator, Opus Materials (U.K), Millidyne (Finland) and CEA (France), in order to ensure a rapid market deployment.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 760311.

Onyx Solar fostering knowledge and innovation in Europe

Onyx Solar® participated in the 9^th Conference of the Investigation and Innovation Programme of the European Union in Spain, celebrated on 16^th November

 

The objective of this event was drawing conclusions about the Spanish participation in the Horizon 2020 Programme, which funds the best European R&D projects within various topics for the period 2014-2020.

Onyx Solar® contributed with its successful experience in this Programme thank to the the participation in Advanced BIPV and PVSITES projects through which is developing a new PV glass product portfolio with optimized features in terms of efficiency, format, aesthetics and mechanical performance.

Euro-India Summit: Reinventing Dynamic and Sustainable Cities

We have written many times about the importance of India for Onyx Solar as a priority marketplace. The country’s great potential and its growth in the last years, plus the Government’s commitment to foster renewable energies have convinced us that we will hear a lot of India in the upcoming years.

Thus the efforts of institutions such as The Euro-India Centre, which promotes the cooperation between Europe and India, are very important to us. Even more if those efforts are focused in bolstering the development of more sustainable cities, as it occurred in the last summit held in Halle, Germany, titled “City Vision: Reinventing Dynamic and Sustainable Cities”.

Our Chief Technical Officer, PhD Teodosio del Caño, was once again invited to participate as speaker during the conferences and working sessions which took place at the City Hall. He has the opportunity to speak about the last developments in Building Integrated Photovoltaics in front of dozens of entrepreneurs from both, India and Europe, showing that Onyx Solar has established itself as a reference within the sector.
