Onyx Solar created the first transparent glass that can generate free and clean electricity from the sun, and this has served to be awarded this important recognition. On the other hand, Tesla developed a new generation of batteries that allow a more efficient storage of the energy produced from the glass

The magazine The Architect’s Newspaper awarded Onyx Solar’s photovoltaic floor as the best outdoor  product of 2015

Onyx Solar’s photovoltaic floor tile has been awarded by “Castilla y Leon Economica” as the most innovative product in the region

This award recognizes the magnificent trajectory of Onyx Solar in the development of photovoltaic glass and solutions which replace traditional construction building materials; these solutions are able to generate free and clean electricity from the Sun.

The photovoltaic floor tile comes up as a result of the strong commitment of the company towards R&D. It achieves the highest standards by supporting 881 Lbs (400kg) on the test of point load, complying with anti-slip regulations and it can be installed as easily as any other technical floor.

Available in a wide range of colors and transparency degrees, this photovoltaic product can be integrated in highly aesthetic ways, blending perfectly with the remaining components of a building. It has already been installed at such emblematic places as the George Washington University in USA or the Terina Mediterranean Foundation in Italy.
