Onyx Solar will develop together with the most prestigious European Technology Centers, organic photovoltaic cells as a new building material


The ArtESun project, part of the EU’s 7th Framework Programme for Research and Development, has a budget of more than 5M Euro, and is co-financed by the European Commission under the NMP Programme (Nanoscience, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new Production Technologies).

The consortium in which Onyx Solar participates consists of companies and technology and research centers internationally renowned as Teknologian Tutkimuskeskus VTT, Fraunhofer Institute, Interuniversitair Micro-Electronica Centrum (IMEC), Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, Ikerlan S centers Coop, Corning, Confidex, Wibicom and Safc Hitech Limited.

Together they will develop high-efficiency technology based on organic photovoltaic cells for industrial applications.
